Although not a typical “must do” Disney activity, it was a Dillo must do back in the day. I am talking about Hotel Hopping.
Anytime a new hotel opened, the Dillo clan would drive on over to the new spot (if we weren’t staying there) to check it out. What kind of theme would this one have? Did it have a different feel than the others? How far was it from the parks? And most importantly-would we stay here in the future?
The Art of Disney opens today! It’s been a little while since we have seen a new resort and this one, much like Pop Century looks fun, bright and cheerful. I’m thinking of a quick one night trip to Food and Wine this fall and hopping on over to Art of Disney to experience the newness.
Most of my hotel hopping is now done during the holidays. I love seeing the ginger bread houses, chocolate carousels and big trees in each lobby.
If you’ve visited Disney before, or are staying for a week, consider Hotel Hopping. It doesn’t cost a dime and you can figure out where you’ll lay your head on future trips!
